Alternative To A Merchant Cash Advance - Sell Your House?

Here is a link to an interesting story on CNN, entitled Selling their home to keep their small businesses alive. This story is evidence on how difficult it can be for small businesses to obtain traditional loans and the fact that banks are not making small business loans. While many people feel that alternatives to a loan product, such as a merchant cash advance is expensive, I think selling your house can be a lot more expensive....

a merchant cash advance isnt going to save a derailed business from failing. in many cases, a merchant cash advance to a failing business will just become another bad debt to chalk up on the board. the economy/recession goes much much deeper than a cash advance!

To the "Anonymous on Feb. 25 09 @ 12:45am"... A merchant cash advance can be the lifeblood for a business that needs some quick working capital...

Say a restaurant that has a bad couple of weeks and is having a hard time making payroll and staying on top of the vendors... A cash infusion can give them a fighting chance to stay on top.

Until you sit down and talk to these business owners and really understand where they are coming from and what they are trying to accomplish, you will never have a true understanding of what the recession really means to small business owners.
